Impact of Floods on Businesses in Bahía Blanca

The Industrial Union of Bahía Blanca is conducting a survey among all its members to assess the damage and manage actions following the storm that caused flooding and left 16 victims a week ago.

The entity has expressed the urgency of understanding the extent of the damage in the associated companies in order to plan targeted support strategies and manage the necessary resources. Therefore, companies have been asked to complete a form detailing the damages suffered, the estimated amount, and the affected aspects such as furniture, machinery, infrastructure, and vehicle fleet, among others.

Additionally, information has been requested regarding the current operational capacity, the estimated time to resume operations prior to the storm, and the possible need to resort to specific credits due to the consequences of the flooding.

It is highlighted that many companies from various sectors have been severely affected by the flooding, leading to significant material losses, from damage to infrastructure and machinery to the total destruction of goods and raw materials. This situation has caused a paralysis of activities that jeopardizes the continuity of businesses and puts both job sources and the operability of companies at risk.

Among the affected associates are companies located in the Petrochemical Pole, grain companies, automotive industry firms, various services, and transportation, among others.
